All entrances to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport were closed for over five hours while police investigated suspicious wires found in a vehicle.
Broward Sheriff s Office deputies received information about the suspicious vehicle that was in a parking garage near Terminals 2 and 3.
Deputies closed the roadways and secured the area around the vehicle, evacuating people in the vicinity. The BSO Bomb Squad responded and determined the wires weren t a threat.
Officers reopened all the roadways after the all-clear was given.

Taiwan: At least 48 killed and dozens injured after train crashes into truck and derails At least 48 people have died and more than 100 others have been injured after a train derailed in eastern Taiwan, officials have said.
The train, carrying around 490 people, is believed to have come off the rails in a tunnel just north of Hualien causing some carriages to hit the wall of the tunnel.
It is believed to have hit a truck that was not parked properly and is suspected to have slid onto the train tracks in the mountainous area, the official Central News Agency said.
Between 80 and 100 people have been evacuated from the first four carriages of the train, while carriages five to eight have deformed and are hard to gain access to, firefighters said.

BEIJING North China s aviation regulator on Friday said that Beijing Capital International Airport and Beijing Daxing International Airport are expected to see a surge in flights during the upcoming Tomb-sweeping Day holiday.
The two major airports in the Chinese capital are set to handle 5,835 flights during the three-day holiday from April 3 to 5, up 337 percent from last year s Tomb-sweeping Day holiday, said the CAAC North China Regional Administration.

According to the Sanitary Epidemiological Control Committee, out of 4,685 passengers arrived in Kazakhstan by air on April 1, 2021, 4,675 had PCR tests with a negative result and 10 did not pass a test for COVID-19.
17 flights with 2,324 passengers onboard landed at the airport in Almaty city – 2,314 passengers with PCR tests and 10 without PCR tests.
10 flights carrying 1,293 passengers landed at the airport in Nur-Sultan city – all with PCR tests.

Viewed through an aviation lens, the indications are positive. Yet, if examined closely, one sees several contraindications.
As the vaccination programme gains traction with about 2.5 million doses administered each day and certain to go up from the first week of April, confidence and sentiment is trending upwards.
Each day brings with it the announcement of a new set of economic metrics whether it is the forecasts for gross domestic product or GDP (some now pegged north of 10 per cent for financial year 2022 or FY22) or consumption profiles or the stock market that continues to see new highs and elevated valuations.
